Saint Marks Square

St. Marks Square is one of the most photographed places in venice. It is the social and religious center of Venice. St. Marks Basilica is one of the most recognized buildings in Venice. The square was designed mainly around St. Marks Basilica and Doge's Palace. The square is a must see on your trip to Venice. You will find everything from a great view to fine dining. You can eat it the square but it will be more expensive than anywhere else in Venice. If you do eat on the square you will probably be charged an additional fee if there is live entertainment at the time. Beware of pigeons while you are eating though.
